WHAT IS LEGENDMAN XTREME TRIATHLON?

The Legendman is a triathlon extreme race for the athletes and their supporters from the Silesia region part of Poland. The spectacular course, the unique scenery and the familiar atmosphere make the Legendman an unforgettable adventure for everyone involved. The course of the LegendMan with more than 5000 altimeters is as breathtakingly beautiful as it is demanding. They will be the hardest and most memorable experiences of your life. 

All athletes and supporters need to register on www.legendman.pl. At the Legendman Xtreme Triathlon we will distribute only 100 slots. The entry fee is 800 Polish Zloty. Each athlete needs his personal, registered supporter, who can communicate with the Legendman Crew in English. Participation is prohibited without a registered supporter. The supporter is personally responsible for his athlete during the entire day. There will be only one official and registered supporter. Only one supporter vehicle, which will be marked accordingly, is allowed per athlete. Both athletes and supporters must follow traffic rules with no exception! 

For security reasons, the athlete must carry a mobile phone during the bike and running part so he is accessible to his supporters. Headsets are not allowed on the bike; the athlete must stop and dismount to take or make a phone call. It is the responsibility of the supporter to feed his athlete for the entire duration of the bike and running parts.

Supporters should not drive directly in front of, next to or behind the athlete, and the athlete may not accept anything from the moving car. At no time may he sit in the car. Remember true Legendman finishers do not draft! You will find no referee on the course. We assume a fair sportsman respects nature, other Legendman participants and themselves, acting in accordance with their conscience. Thus, setting the highest standards of sportsmanship ethics.

 The running path is allowed to accompany the athlete by foot or bike (bike only where it will be possible). Hiking sticks are not allowed during any part of the running part. The supporter must have a functioning phone with the registered supporter number on him. Supporters and athletes can only pass the checkpoint equipped with a backpack with food, warm clothing, and a flash- or headlight. 

On Sunday morning, the awards ceremony will be held at the Park Zdrojowy, street Warszawska 2,  Jedlina Zdrój. Each athlete and supporter who crossed the finish line or not will officially become a Legendman and receive a T-shirt. Finishers T-shirts will be different from those of athletes who did not cross the finish line. Athlets who crosses the finish line will receive unique finisher medals. Finally, we will take a group photo of all Legendman Xtreme Triathlon 2024 participants.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Slots. 

The Legendman 2024 will start with 100 athletes. A slot for the Legendman is available on the website www.legendman.pl. A registered competitor cannot transfer his package to another athlete.

2. Entry Fee. 

The entry fee for the Legendman 2024 is 800 Polish Zloty. The final registration will be effective with the transfer of the registration fee. Payment should be made by traditional transfer to the account:

3. Cancellation of registration. 

Full refunds are only available until the end of March. After this date, 400 Polish Zloty will be refunded.

4. Entry list. 

The participating athletes for the Legendman Xtreme Triathlon 2024 will be published on the Legendman website www.legendman.pl. 

MANDATORY SUPPORTER

1. Responsibility of the supporter.

The organizer doesn’t provide nutrition and hydration points along the competition route. That’s why every athlete needs their own support. The support is with the athlete throughout the race, ensuring hydration and nutrition. Without registered support, athletes will not be able to start in the race. The registered supporter will take on every responsibility for the supervision of the athlete during the Legendman. He must be able to communicate with the Legendman Crew in English. When athletes register, they also must provide information about their supporters. The supporter can be exchanged any time until the Legendman. 

2. Only one supporter vehicle allowed.

Per athlete only one supporter vehicle is allowed. The car must be marked by the Legendman organization. Reason for the strict limitation to one car is that we wish to not strain the environment more than necessary. Furthermore, the parking spaces as well as room on the roads are very limited. In this car, several people can help and support the athlete, but only one person needs to be registered as official support.

3. Supporter Shirt.

One supporter shirt will be issued per athlete. The desired sizes of the supporter-shirts will already be ordered at registration. As we have to order the specially made shirts very early, the size cannot be changed with an eventual change of supporter at a later time. Additional Legendman-shirts can be bought during the Legendman. Each athlete and supporter who crossed the finish line or not crossed will officially become a Legendman and receive a T-shirt. Finishers T-shirts will be different from those of athletes who did not cross the finish line. Athlets who crosses the finish line will receive unique finisher medals. As the supporters are an essential part of the Legendman, they receive an official supporter Legendman-shirt on Sunday

4. Medical Crew.

The medical crew may at any time remove an athlete from continuation, in case of medical or health issues. Continuation of the Legendman on personal responsibility is not possible. 

5. Results. 

The first man and the first woman to cross the finish line are the winners of the Legendman 2024. Anyone who ends the race receives the title of Finisher. The list of all Finishers will be published on the website www.legendman.pl

6. Check in athletes.

Check in athletes and their support will take place on Friday afternoon, May 17, 2024.

7. Accommodation in Jedlina Zdrój, May 17-19, 2024.

The overnight stay in Jedlina Zdrój is organized by the participants.

8. Awards ceremony on Sunday, May 19, 2024. 

Awards ceremony for athletes and supporters will take place on Sunday morning at the Park Zdrojowy, street Warszawska 2, in Jedlina Zdrój. 

CLIMA AND WEATHER

1. Swimming. 

The climate of southern Poland is moderate with a large temperature range at the end of May. In the morning it can be about 10 degrees, while at the warmest moment of the day it can be 22 degrees. The average water temperature in Lake Bystrzyckie at this time of year is about 15-16°C.

2. Bike. 

Low temperatures are possible, so should be taken into account when choosing clothing for the bike path.During descents from mountains the temperature may be even lower. Descending from mountain peaks without proper clothing is dangerous! If it rains, be careful on descents.

3. Run. 

The weather in the mountains can change quickly, especially in the Góra Borowa (853m) and Waligóra (936m) area. You must be prepared for this situation.

RULES OF PROCEDURES FOR ATHLETES AND SUPPORTERS

Rules 

For the Legendman the rules of WTC apply. No referees are provided. We call upon your own responsibility. Littering by supporters or athletes leads to immediate exclusion from the Legendman through the Legendman crew. Athletes and supporters are obligated to help other participants in any case. 

ORDER OF EVENTS 

Friday, May 17, 2024 

1. Registration and number distribution 

Athletes and supporters register together at the number distribution. 

Saturday, May 18, 2024 

1. Swimming.

At 5 AM the Legendman begins. Athletes are required to wear a full wetsuit. 

2. Support Swimming.

The transition area will be open on Saturday morning at 4.00 AM. The supporter clears the transition area after his athlete has left. 

3. Bike.

On the bike course drafting is prohibited. The official traffic rules must be observed. The descent of the mountains requires caution and attention. 

4. Support Bike. 

Each athlete is allowed only one supporter vehicle. The vehicle will be marked with Legendman 2024. The supporter must provide care to the athlete through the entire bicycle route. Athletes and supporters must follow the traffic rules! Supporters must not drive directly in front of, next to or behind the athlete. The athlete may not accept anything from the moving car and he is at no time allowed to be in the car. The supporter prepares the transition area for the athletes in Jedlina Zdrój and clears it again after the transition to the run. 

5. Running. 

We suggest that each athlete passing through the T2 transition zone in Jedlina Zdrój after 3:00 p.m. run with support throughout the course run.

6. Support Running.

The running course is not accessible by car, but there will be designated meeting points. Support can run the entire running route together with the athlete. Support must have a working mobile phone with them at all times during the race. The support phone number should be provided to the organizers in the registration application. During the running stage, support and athletes must be equipped with a backpack, at least 0.5 liter of fluids, 2 energy bars or energy gels, long pants, a sweatshirt, a jacket, gloves, a hat, a rescue blanket and a flashlight.

Swim: 5:00-7:00 (2h)

Swim + Cycling: 5:00-16:00 (11h)

Swim + Cycling + Run 5:00-00:00 (19h)

Sunday, May 18, 2024 

On Sunday morning, the awards ceremony is at the Park Zdrojowy, street Warszawska 2,  Jedlina Zdrój. Each athlete and supporter who crossed the finish line or not will officially become a Legendman and receive a T-shirt. Finishers T-shirts will be different from those of athletes who did not cross the finish line. Athlets who crosses the finish line will receive unique finisher medals. Finally, we will take a group photo of all Legendman Xtreme Triathlon 2024 participants.A joint finisher and supporter photo immortalizes the Legendman Xtreme Triathlon 2024.
